Do any of you DIY guys in Massachusetts or New Hampshire want to try an DIY F1 ? I am building an F4 and running out of shelf space. I can deliver it or you can come and pick it up.
Boards are like the Pass Labs originals. Send me an e-mail for more information.

I have one person interested. I would like this amp back after 2 months so I can let another DIY member try it. I will post some pictures soon. It has taken one trip to Houston. Panelhead what did you think?:D

Just out of curiosity, who or what is N.E.W.?
Nelson's Electronics Works?
No Electrons Wanted?
Not Everyone's Wasted (yet)?

I bought the housing from another diy member.
The amp is gone. Check back in March.

I think it was NEW who cloned the A40 without NP's permission...good idea of gutting it.
MikeW
When are you going to send me another Blue's CD?
Blues
One of these days, Mike. Watch out for it in your mailbox...

I file N.E.W. under "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished"

I have seem to have a similar situation with Portal Electronics.

Is that supposed to be "No Bad Deed..."?

Portal...I seem to have read their claim that the design is from a very reputable designer...so it is you, Mr. Pass...their first "product" got a very good review. Was it the Aleph they ripped-off? They have a higher power version now in their ads...probably an A2.

I think they ripped off the A20. Saw it once in a local shop.
Tried to sell it to me, but I knew what it was. They said it was single ended, but that was all. At the time, I couldn't afford it anyway. They wanted $800 for a used unit.

Wasn't there a company called B.E.A.R which had a unit that was being sold out of the back of audio mags? It was also S.E.

What do you think so far Chris?

Hi Mike,

I am really digging this amp! It is working amazingly well with my Zu Druids. I have no real experience with Pass designs never mind a current amp. I am definately impressed. it is pushing bass out of my speakers like I have not heard. I may have to get one for myself.
MikeW
Chris is almost done with the F1. Is there anyone else that would like to take it for a couple of months?
MikeW
Did I mention that these are original F1 boards?:D  ;)
sts9fan
If no one wants it I will be happy to hold on to it for a bit
MEGA-amp
I was gonna give it a try, but I don't have the right speakers, oh well. Guess I have to build the right speakers, then build an F1. Mike, how did you acquire the original boards?
MikeW
It's OK with me. If you want to swap it for an ZV9 or F4 let me know.
MikeW
I hope you didn't hurt your back carrying that F4. Did you get it set up OK?
sts9fan
I think you should store any of your family’s valuables in that F4 case. Thing is built like a safe. Anyway I got it up and running with the Akidio and it sounds great! I am very interested in building one of these Akidios and was wondering what specifications you used. What tubes and type of PS?

Thanks again

Kris
