Evan karenjo1 Thanks for the info, Evan. I was able to buy an AudioTechnica cartridge for the record player. I haven't installed it yet. Another problem with the unit --- an MCS Series 2237 -- is that the volume control makes horrendous noise. I have to keep fiddling with it to get the volume to respond, and even when I think I have it stabilized, it seems to fade to lower volume. I guess the problem is dirty contacts, but I don't see a way to get insde to clean it. Any ideas on this? 240z4u You need to clean the volume control with Caig DeOxit. Search audiokarma.org on the best way to do it. It should clean up the control nicely. Evan
