Which 12" sub for sealed box - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a speaker cabinet in beautiful wood veneer that I want to make a subwoofer out of it - actually I have two of these cabinets but only want to experiment with one first. It is about 5 cubic in volume and has a slot for a 12" (I will use a piece of wood to seal the tweeter slot and mount a plate amp on the back.) Which 12" woofer would you recommend for a simple large sealed box. I have a budget of $50~$120 - the least expensive the better as I may do two for stereo sub should my first sub become successful. Thanks in advance.

Its bigger but would suit your box

But I am in doubt about it ... with two of these and the needed plateamps you might be better off investing it all in 15" servo sub kit from Rythmik
