Class D project - Click HERE for Original Thread
G4ME
Okay, I am new to the field of Class D but I am looking to start a project and looking for some advice. I am wanting to build a full band amplifier that can output about 50 watts. For simplicity I was thinking of just doing a half bridge and then expanding to full bridge after I get a little experience.

Now I have the theory down for Class D. I want to say I have the front end constructed, with a triangle generator, comparator and a pre-filter and a few inverters as gate drives and delay.

My question is what is good output MOSFET that I should be looking at? I have seen a few from Vishay, but other then power dissipation and max current I don't really know what too look for. Also I am not looking to do surface mount so any TO220 or any other package that is relatively easy to work with,

Thanks for any input you guys have.

is not hard to make a 50w damp
vds >80v
Ids>10A
low rds
low Qg
if u find a low rds fet, u can use smd-mosfet, just need a mini heatsink
