I love the sound of music through a good set of headphones, especially jazz. The closeness to your ears is unlike anything any speaker can give you. But right now I'm trying to decide whether I should get the Sennheiser HD 600's. I've heard many good reviews, but are they truly the best headphones for the money. I do a lot of recording and picking apart of compositions, whan I'm writing or arranging songs, and I need the best headphones I can get. Also, I'm thinking of upgrading to the Musical Fidelity A3 CD player, or the Marantz 67SE. Could anyone respond as to which they like better and why? Thankyou. TJF

Hi

For your question about headphones, try posting it in the forums at http://www.headwize.com, that should gurantee you a pile of good answers.
As for the cd, I haven't got that much experience with the 67SE, but the MFcomes thoroughly recommended from here - that is a very nice and very well-sounding piece of kit.

I don't think you can go wrong with Senheiser HD600. I used HD580 and it's the most optimal, sounds great (comparable to or may be even a little better then Grado SR200 that I also have), comfortable, looks good, replaceable parts.
