Take the 9500 from the Solists and put it into the clones. You'll like them better that way. That's what I did with my clones.

Yes, I agree. The cutout is larger so some woodwork would be needed. If I were to do that I would simply buy a pair of 9500's
Actually, I designed and built a pair of speakers with drivers from a Klipsch RF-7 and a pair of AMT tweeters that leave these in the dust. Seriousy, they are competitive with my buddy's Wilson Watt 7's and can be driven with SET 300b's.
