Looking at my 575MH lamp the, side facing up has a white coating (presumably from heat) Would it be advisable to rotate it 180deg. so the clear side is shining, would this shorten/lengthen the lamp life, would I notice any difference?
Also are MH lamps like holagen, and can't be toughed with human hands?

I highly doubt you'd notice any difference ...
as far as touching the blub itself I *think* the same rule applies either way better to be safe than sorry |

| MH bulbs have specific positioning, unless yours is a unversal pos. bulb- it must say explicitly- check into it before burning it out! |
