Group Buy _ Hexfred Diodes - Click HERE for Original Thread

Would anybody be interested in a group buy on IR HEXFRED diodes?.

The part # is DSEI8-06A, 8 amp FRED dioded.

The diodes are small enough to be used in cd players and can be used to re-build the bridge rectifier in your low to medium powered amplifiers.

Pricing would be as follows:

(50) pieces, $30 USD or $50 for us Canadians.
(16) pieces $12 USD of $20 Canadian.

I would ship in padded envelopes, so I suspect shipping at about $5.00 for Canadian orders and $5.00 USD for US orders.

Payment by Paypal preferred.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

KevinLee:)

I would be interested if the brand was changed to Harris or (XYSX?) as I like these better thans the IR's.

Um, unless I'm missing something (in which case, kindly fill me in on the details), a $.60 diode seems hardly worth calling a group buy.

Fred diodes he talking about go for a couple of bucks each for singles.

Nonetheless, people casually pick up >$200 iron, why doesn't anyone group-buy that?

Hello All,

So far we have only about 66 pieces spoken for.

I need to order many more than this to offer these prices.

Please let me know within the next couple of days.

Order lots, you need (4) pieces to rebuild a bridge.

As before I prdfer PayPal.

Thanks

Gilid, thanks for the interest. Hopefully we will have a few more people show interest by weeks end so that we can go ahead with this.

Come on DIY members, lets buy these things!, Why not replace the rectifier bridges in all of your electronics?

These parts are cheap cheap and have a very long shelf life (future projects).

I will have my laptop sent for service from Tuesday until Friday, will be cack on line Friday night.

See you then

I was talking to Jeff at Sonic Craft this week. He had suggested upgrading the diodes in my amp/cd player. He has gone ahead and ordered something like 800 high end diodes that he now has on hand. So, if you guys are interested in saving yourselves the hassle and supporting a great guy, give Jeff a call. I'm not trying to undermine your group buy, but he was venting a little about having to buy so many to make the pricing reasonable. So I'm sure if you guys buy what you need from him now, he will continue to cary them in the fufure.

Hello,

Due to the lack of interest in this group buy I am going to stop it for now.

I may just buy a large quantity of the diodes and try to sell a few in this forum at a later date.

Thanks for the interest.

Hi,

Hope I was not the one to bust up this party :dead: It's just that I need the diodes next week.

Best regards,
