Help identify mystery wooden arm - Click HERE for Original Thread

I've had this for a while and still haven't had a listen. It's missing most of the counterweight and i'd appreciate if anyone can offer a picture of an intact original (long shot, i know). It's a unipivot and has variable magnetic damping. And i really like the way it looks and feels :)

Thanks

Hi,

Seen that one before..could it be a Grace?

Cheers,;)
SY
Might be. Might also be a Rek-o-Kut. Not a Weathers, though; I've got a couple of those. I can't think of any other wood jobs.

Hi,

Yes, Sy...it still looks like a Jap design to me...memory fails me...

Sighs,

I am certain that its a Grado arm. They come up on ebay fairly often and you can see pictures of them there, though usually taken from above. I have almost no personal experience of them, but have seen them and am not certain why you think part of the counterweight is missing.

I typed out a post ages ago on this thread, but it's not to be seen. The arm is a Grado Reference.

As for the missing bits, email Grado and ask if they have some, or can give you the dimensions and weight so you can have one made.
