Today i have a DIY 5 channel Hypex ucd 180 amp to my stereo and Ht and i think its really good, but i think i can get a better sounding amp.

I´m asking you guys for a better sounding aleph amp but i don´t know what i shall build. I have a 1.5" Jbl driver on a horn playing from 800hz to 20khz. It have around 112db/1w.

So what can you recomend me to build for a 5 channel aleph amp ?

A low powered Aleph, like the 3 would do fine. Alternatively,
I would recommend ZV9.

112 db/w!

Just wondering. Won't there be some hiss?
Nelson Pass
ZV9 would have the lowest hiss, simply because it has
12.5 dB gain, and the Alephs had 20 or 26. It also has
lower hum and turn-on/turn-off.

Thank you for the input. Is it possible to put a gain control on a zv9 ? Or another aleph ?

One of my problem today is to much power from my ucd 180. I have to turn the signal down in my Dbx Driverack pa crossover, but i rather want to turn the signal up and the amp down.

i have the same situation 112db compression driver from 300hz up.

what would be the difference between the f3 and the zv 9 ?
what sonical difference can parts choice make for the zv 9 ?

if there is another thread i can read more about that i would be happy to .
i just started looking at the f3/zen v9 .

any help is appreciated
