esl 63 speaker problem - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi im new to esl`s and seem to have a little problem with one of the speakers... when standing idle and when playing music i cam hear a light thump simular to a light tap on the bass drum if you know what i mean... i dont think its panel dammage or i hope not
its the same with the speaker cable out

You have a torn diaphragm, or rather, your speaker has. The noise you hear occurs when the diaphragm pulls to one side and sticks to a stator, often accompanied by hissing and squealing. The cure is to replace the diaphragm.
