And whether you agree in the Direct Interpolation method in the next thread (I'm not too sure I'm convinced, but haven't tried it), there's lots of useful info on the TDA1541, arguments about NOS versus Oversampling, and all kinds of other stuff to form opinions about ;). With this thread, and the 1541 datasheet, I managed to build my first DAC, so a fairly good introduction to the chip at least:
