DEQ2496 continual reboot(?) Help! - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a Behringer DEQ2496 that signal wise sits between an SRC2496 and a DCX2496. It has been used in a home stereo for about 2 years.

Starting about 6 months ago I got an intermittent signal cutout during the first 10 minutes of warmup of the DEQ2496.

Now when I turn it on, the front LEDs blink together every ~1/2 second. This is continuous, otherwise nothing else. Is this a cyclic reboot?

I took the cover off and poked around for shorts or burned components, exercised the connectors, etc., - to no effect.

Anybody out there had this problem? Any suggestions? Otherwise I'm looking at 300 clams for a new unit...

I had the same problem with mine when it arrived used via eBay. I removed the boards and put tape down on the bottom of the chassis and put everything back together. It was a stab in the dark, as this method of "repair" fixed a shorting issue I had with one of my DCX's a couple years ago.

So far so good, no rebooting since then. (knock on wood)

Good luck.
