Has anyone tried to connect the SPDIF output from a UDA1355H to a PC SPDIF input? I am using the UDA1355H in static mode as an analogue to SPDIF converter and the automatic header format of the SPDIF output from my UDA1355 is not matching the actual format of the data 44.1KHz, PCM etc and so the PC cannot recover the data. If anyone has experienced this and knows why it happens or how to fix it I would love to know. Thanks for your help.

well I didn't get standalone mode working, but changing the design to initially set it up with a microcontroller to set all the internal registers using I2C has fixed the problem. The SPDIF can now integrate with a PC SPDIF input. Yay.

more news, the chip manufacturer has said there is a problem in their chip and there is currently no way to get the SPDIF connected correctly to a computer in standalone mode. But they do connect to other UDA1355 chips. And at least using a micro gets it working. maybe they will fix it in later revisions?
