I've finally decided to build a zen V4, ordered all the transistors which have duly arrived, but the ZETEX ZVP3310 is a surface mount and I don't seem to be able to find the correct style in New Zealand.
The original article states:
In the case of Q4, the Zetex ZVP3310 performed the best among the parts tried. The IRF9510, 9610, and similar parts worked, but have higher capacitance, and thus higher distortion at the top end with these input impedances. This can be improved by lowering the values of R2 and R3. If you can accept a 10K input impedance, you could consider using these alternate P channel Mosfets.
Has anybody tried this, and with what success?
Thanks in advance

Well I've tried it. It works as described, which is well. Use
the non-IR versions of the 9610 or its variants for the lowest
distortion.

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. Can't wait to get started on this project but work keeps getting in the way.
