Philips CDM 44/33 - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi:

Does anyone have any dead CDM 44/33 cd transports with the servo controller board? I'm looking for some exotic parts on it.

Also is there a list of CD players that had the CDM 44/33 inside?

Can replacement CDM 44 still be found today?

Thanks,

Derek

Thanks Array!

Do you or anyone know the difference between

CDM 4/33 vs CDM 4/19?

Hi,

The difference between the 2 mechs is the motor. If you need a CDM-4/33, you can use the optical pickup from the /19. But the 33 has a hall brushless motor whereas the 19 uses a cheap dc motor.

Thanks for the reply.

Are the two mechanisms swappable? In otherwords, can I take plug a CDM 4/19 right into the controller designed for CDM 4/33?

Only the laser assembly.... NOT the motor.
