Would someone mind explaining to me what running the power feeding a Zen 9, or for that matter any amp, at a highter frequency rate might do?
The reason i ask is that i have a PS Audio 300 power generator that allows me to vary the frequency of the AC.
There may be some sonic advantages, minor admittingly, but still vaguely noticable at least to my ear, at running the power at 90HZ. I have noticed that the amps tend to run a little hotter, is this my imagination?

Transformers run a little more efficiently with increased frequency,
so you might be seing a little more voltage on the rails for your
trouble. Also, the filtering is a little more effective, so you might
see a bit less noise.

anyway - you can have more benefit if you use 3-phase xformer
way less ripple, but point is in power factor,in fact |

... and perhaps that little less noise is what's translated to slightly deeper bass.
Any potential long term harm to the FETS or is it much of a much ness.
