preamp / source / output selector - Click HERE for Original Thread

So, this is yet another preamp opinion thread.

My situation:
I listen to vinyl. It's all I've had connected to my main system for years, but in the interest of sharing I'd like to add a few more sources. I'm currently using an audiosector kit with a pass labs pearl, this is about the limit of my electronic diy capabilities.

So, I've thought about a passive pre with source selector or thought about doing the twisted pear kookaburra with darwin.

If anyone has any other ideas along these lines, opinions on options I've mentioned, or wants to talk about what they use in their systems I'm all eyes here.

Most importantly, I'm not exactly wealthy so I'd like to keep the cost to like $200 or so.

I've actually spent quite a bit of time readiing your site, it's been pretty inspirational.

However.... I've made a couple of attempts at P2P before and it isn't pretty. I can't seem to organize it at all, and I'm far better able to build via pcb.

Yes, I can get P2P to work, but as you say, making it pretty is another matter! ;)
