Hi,

On tone tubby website there is a new 8" driver with specs: http://www.tonetubby.com/JJC8GL-8A_3-29-07.xls Not quite fullrange, but what do guys think about this driver? 8 Ohm version seems like a nice middbas driver. Could be good crossed around 2K to some nice ribbon - maybe NEO3 or Fountek NeoCd2.0 .
What do you think??

Greets!

I'm not into XOs around our peak hearing point, so notching the HF ~flat and making a little 90 deg WG for the ribbon to mate to the 8"er's ~3200 Hz 90 deg point makes more sense to me. That, or double up some small ribbons to allow a ~1600 Hz XO where the driver's just beginning to beam.

Sounds like a good plan to me. And those TT drivers with the Harrison cone are starting to look very impressive.
