My reference source for the last 2 years will be available for sale in the next two weeks.
Teac Esoteric P500 Transport. Immaculate condition with original remote. New laser just fitted and not used yet. Fully serviced, balanced and aligned by ZM Electronics in Melbourne, Australia two weeks ago, the acknowledged "guru" for Teac Service.
Modified as follows;
Tentlabs XO3 Clock with improved spidf (coax) output, also Tentlabs XO power supply installed for the XO3 Clock. Standard power lead replaced with higher quality Mil Spec Silver Coated lead.
Teac Esoteric D500 DAC. Immaculate condition.
Modified as follows;
Twin TDA1541 S1 Crown Dac Chips, and all output opamps have been changed to AD825 's on Browndog boards. Standard power lead replaced with higher quality Mil Spec Silver Coated lead.
Mods alone cost the last owner $1500
I have compared this to units in the $5000 AUD plus range and it has stood up very well indeed. In some cases it has surpassed them easily.
