What kind of output stage and DAC does Yamaha currently use?
I peaked into an RX-V 459 and 559, and from what I could see through the lid, they are using 5 pin ICs. These could be real ICs or transistors with built-in bias diodes. Anybody know?
Also, there was an SSOP28 chip with the BB label, but I couldn't read the model. I assume that was the ADC, as they'd surely use an 8 channel DAC.
Background is that I need a cheap base for a 3-way active XO, and I like to modify my DACs and output stages. |

| Probably Sanken SAP output devices, in which case the output is most likely an EF stage. |

| Search for the service manual of them might help. |

Yes. if I had found a service manual on the web, I wouldn't have asked.
I also thought that those were SAP devices, except the writing on the PCB said ICxxx. I couldn't read the writing on the thingies themselves, unfortunately. |
