Hi,
Some time ago I build a Slone figure 11.4 amp. Finally I managed to get rid of at least some part of the noise/hum I got. This will likely need some improvements in the future, but I'm allready very happy. My problem now is that I only get hardly audible noise when I short the input to signal ground. When I connect my function generator, I get some hum, when I connect my mixing console I get lots of white noise and when I connect a CD-player, I get not only a lot of white noise, but also very loud plops! These plops repeat half a second or so, but seem to be random in timing.
Where is that noise coming from and how can I fix it?
Thanks for any help,
Remco Poelstra

hi
We have several Slone Fig 11.4 topics going
The most frequented, and where they should know about this amp
is
Randy Slone's "Fig 11.4" (Self's "Blameless"?): PCB layout
but we have also this:
Slone 11.4 questions...
I am sure you did a SEARCH before posting.
But is not always easy to find.
Good Luck!
