Audax HM210Z12 as midbass?

Hello,
I'm gonna build loudspeakers using audax drivers. I've searched the forums and found few designs used HM210Z12 8" driver as midbass. This driver looks good for bass, but I'm not sure in using it as midbass driver, because it rolls off before 2kHz according to graphs on manufacturer's website (attachment).

So, I'd like to ask - are that graphs somehow wrong, or the driver is not suitable for midbass?

I think it's not, but maybe I'm wrong. Just don't know because few desingns used it.

Hi,
I have the 210 carbon as a bass unit. It is good.
The HDA has less extended bass and slightly more extended mid, but I think you will still need a mid unit. The 170 would go higher but I recommend the 130 as a good mid unit.

I wouldn't use it as midbass, it rolls off like a cliff !

Anyway it isn't sold as a midbass unit, but as a bass driver.

Maybe you can couple it with a small compression and horn, like Supravox TW2-20, but I don't know if the Audax deserves it.

Concerning the data, I doubt it is wrong : constructors don't get advantages to publish bad-looking specs !
