I just bought today this projector, I paid over $270 and Im so sad with the bad quality of the image. This projector get 480 X 234 RGB, even if I play games still dark, this is a nice projector, but poor in quality image. I can see perfect the color dots. Someone have a good solution for that?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

What is so "nice" about it then if the image quality is not good?
Sorry about your projector.
Seach in this forum, some ppl modify their commerical projector to fit a cheaper/brighter light source. Don't give up.

I mean nice, cause looks good outsite, but terriable pixell quality, I dont know if the exacly problem comes from the LCD or the poor lights

If the projector was made with a low resolution, there's very little you can do about that.
You don't have any model number or anything that you can check it's spec. on the internet? What about manual? have you search through the manual to see what it's capable of? (If you don't have the manual, you can probably search on the net for it, providing you know the model number, I'm sure it should say something underneath the unit).

1)If you mean, there are individual "dead" pixels, there is nothing for that but replacing the screen.
2)If you mean, the image is too dim, then the light source must be upgraded; there are various ways to protect the rest of the equipment
3)If you mean, the image is too low in resolution or color-depth, then the solution is a variant of the #1 solution above... but instead of the same-type, try a better type of LCD.

Thank you Stocker, I really appreciate your thoughts !
I think the answer is number 3
Do u know some place that I can purchase a good LCD, cause I like this projector, but the image looks like 256 ( SUCKS 🙁 )
otherwise, I think if I put a PS LCD Screen here will be fine, I guess.
Is anybody here that have the same projector of mine? and have the same problem ? I think Disa have !
Thank you guys !

Try Ebay, other than that I have no idea. I am still trying to build my test equipment. Then will come amplifiers, preamps, speakers, CD player mods...
If I don't keel over from old age first maybe then I'll look into a DIY projector, if the price is still favorable to do so compared to commercial offerings.

Well, if it is just the brightness that bothers you, then, like I was saying, there are many ppl in this forum that has done upgrades to their commerical projectors, search here and I am sure you will find some idea. But if it is the resolution that bothers you, I wouldn't think that you would want to pay to replace your LCD with a higher resolution one. I think they are very expensive to replace. Part of the reason why commerical projectors are so expensive (those with high resolution) is because of the small size of the LCD.
I'm sorry to say this, but if you ask me, I would not even try to upgrade the bulb, simply because the resoultion is too low for a projected image that size (those you posted). But if you're ok with 30'-40' projected image, maybe worth a try to mod the lamp.
Maybe I am wrong.

Has anyone on this board modded this particular projector with any level of success?
I am thinking of picking one up as a first DIY Projector project.
I am not looking for stellar image quality.
I would be using for projecting images behind my band as we make our weird noises. (read: dimly lit club/large image 3 meters or so)
We've used old/dark projectors before with pretty good results.....basicly I'm not looking for miraculous results, just something useable.
