been crawling the threads for months reading and researching my findings here. I have a query for the all knowing gurus of DIYAudio.
im currently in the process of building a 4 amplifier amp for biamping some HT speakers im using kitset designs sc480 and eti480 these modules require 40-0-40v rails i recenlty acquired two 78000 uF 40/50 Volt DC caps i would like youre help in designing a power supply to run all four amplifier modules.
will post schematic of prototype soon.
thanks in advance for your help😕

You're pushing the envelope with the voltage rating of those caps if the rails are going to be 40 volts.
was wondering that. ive also got a fack load of 2200uf 63v caps can just parrallel them together. my main query was what am i gonna need in the way of PSU to run 4 amp modules apart from a high VA rating transformer.??
I'd go for separate transformers/PSs for each 'channel' so to speak (one for two amps).

read that and discussed it with that a mate .he said most of it was BS too.prob why i disregarded it. so two independant psu/transformer for each side so prob 300va per side 🙂.
no way at all i could use these biggie caps 🙁
cheers for the help gurus

If your Buddy says that Rod Elliot's article was BS he don't know anything about electronics and should not be listened to.
read and comprehended as much as i could of this article was wondering if regulating the psu is really going to be worth the cost and time involved. 🙂
