Hi,
I have schematic of Krell KSA 50 - it is great amplifier, but I need pcb for it. Maybe someone can project this. I'll send circuit on email.

Hallo,
maybe has anyone good pics of Krell Ksa 50 pcb. I'm going to make a Krellclone. Can You help me guys.
Regards

Very interesting. I wonder how the KSA-250 differs from this. more output transistors for sure but....

I'm working on a KMA 160, which is interesting to constrast with the KSA schematic you posted. For one thing the KMA has an (unprotected) FET input. For another, the KMA uses a regulated supply for the front end and a separate bulk supply for the output.
What's the timeline? When was the KSA 50 made? The KMA 160 is from 1989.

Hi, bra,
Hi, jwb,
It will be interesting to compare KSA50 vs. KMA160, and to see KRELL evolution between these 2 models, can you post the shematic ? or at least by mail ?

Hi
If the KSA50 clone building proceeds I also like be be part of this building project.
I have a KSA100 which I still like very much so dont be put off by the fact that it possibly is a "old design".

Hello to all, my wery first post on this forum...anyway, regarding to this subject, i found this schematic:
http://digilander.libero.it/hienddgl/files/Ampli Krell.zip
It might be useful. I also was considering cloning this old beast (NOT my first project, more around 20-th), but where to get theese 2N6421, 2N6433, 2N6538 transistors, or what replacements to use?
Regards,
Zoran

Progress
Hello all,
just to inform you that the PCB-layout of the of the KSA-50 MK.II are in progress, and will be published a.s.a.p 😉

I KSA 50 it is 100 nF, but in MK2 it seems to be electrolit. I se error on schematic of MK2. For sure should be conection beetwen collector TR8 and base TR10, and collector TR7and base TR11. What You think?

Hi,
I didn't draw this schematic, but got it from Bogdan 😉
I've also nitised the missing C to B connections in the driver stage.
Normally the cap across the bias transistor are below 100nF, so what are we going for???
