Sony XES-M50

I had one of these for a few weeks a long time ago....only heard in a booth. Sold the amp because I was looking for watts.....regretted it ever sense. I have been looking for this amp for years....but its original MSRP of 1700$ and low production numbers make this very difficult to find. (would be interested in another if someone has one laying around!).
Debating on using this or my current PQ20 for my front stage.....
Unfortunately, I have been looking for another rare amp that was listed at the same time (MC500) 260255293255 and there is no way I was going to drop this much coin on 2 amps in one month! The search for a MC500 (and a few others) continues.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Yes, my friend i have long lusted over the M50's myself, this has to be one of the best amps ever built. I had a sony first gen XES system for sometime and I sold it around a year ago and hate myself ever since for doing it.
I was watching the MC500's also. It's a great amp, but for over 700 bux, I think not. the other one went for around 450 or so, thats better. But the MC500 was known to the these musical of the the MC line up, it was the Power has of that time for soundstream.
I own a few of the old school soundstream amps. I have 2 MC245, 2 D100II, 1 MC140x and a D200 (not series II). Working on getting a MC300 now, just waiting to see what the guy is going to do. I had a MC140, I sold it a week or so ago and yes now I want it back. I looking to upgrade the Op-amps in my 2 MC245's know as I planning to use them in my Comp car I building now.
Good luck for you quest for Sonic Bless!!
It was sent 2 days ago......
I am going nuts waiting!!!!!
I also have a few OS SS amps.....
1-MC 300
1-D100 (1st gen and want another.....I want to make a MC200!!!)
The other amp that I am looking for but am not willing to pay a fair asking price is the Audison HR-100......IMO the most beautiful amp ever made....but its original asking price of 10K+ for a 100 watts......crazy.
Will post pics of the M50 when it arrives and an honest SQ comparison with the PQ20.

Congrats on the M50.
I had a PQ20 a few years ago in my 2001 Trooper running a set of MB Quart QSD216 and a Orion 225 HCCA running two JL Audio 8w6's. with a Coustic XM3e (great little crossover) with a Kenwood PS905 (nice simple head). Yes sir, the PQ20 is a great sounding amp.
Ok give me the downlow on the MC200 you are trying to make. What heat sink are going to use. I want the MC300 bad, but the guy seems not to want to let it go at the moment.
Ya, man the Audison HR-100 is crazy, but so is the price.
I also have a few old school Eclipse CD head units. I have these things.
I Have 2 ECD-415, 1 ECD-414, and 1 ECD-416 (one of the few head ever made to will send the radio tuner out the Ditigal output), I also have a CD8053 (great sounding head will 3-way active crossover, 10 band parametric, level adjustments for each channel output, and time alignment. It also have 8 volts output and 16 balanaced. Been looking for a ECD-510 for a good price.
I have for some super rare MIT Cable AutoTerimantor Pro speaker modules, built around the MIT Orcale series.
