Anyone know anything about this tube? According to the guy I just bought 20 from, they are 6688/E180F equivalent, but I can't find a datasheet to verify this. Anyone tried them?
You find the oddest stuff 😀
Duncan just has pinouts, I'm sure you've found:

My suggestion, breadboard an E180F pre and get it working just right, then drop in the 6J9P and see what happens.
Cheers!

I'm always on the lookout for cheap stuff, and the 6688 is just about my favorite tube, but at nearly $5 per tube it is just too rich for my blood 🙂 -- so, for $1 each (ebay), I just couldn't say no.
Yeah, I figured I'd just drop them into a working circuit, but I also thought I should ask about them in case there is some unexpected weirdness.
