As I illustrated in a previous post I just finished installing my ALWSR regulators in my Marantz DV7600. I found that they fit nicely on the back panel just behind the SMPS. Here's some pics where I removed the back panel. Drilled the holes and mounted the regulator boards and then re-installed the back panel. The yellow cable you see is the 12v feed for the NEWClassD audio clock waiting to be installed.
Now that they're installed you ask how do they sound? Changes are very subtle. I believe I'm getting slightly more detail and bass definition. Damn that Peter Daniel. The 1543 DAC I purchased from him has really raised the bar here. Improvements are going to be harder and harder to guage with a machine that is already very good. One thing this tell's us is that upgraded regulators will work with this SMPS. The benefits will have to be obtained from others travelling the same path and being more methodical with their testing.
Regards,
Dan
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Khm! Nice looking but Yung regs with long wiring are not electrically good solution especially in power supplyes for digital circuits.

Limited space and therefore limited placement options. I would've preferred the NewClassD UWB regulator but they weren't available at the time.

I could. Are you suggesting the 6 inch leads will have an impact?
Because of the following post:
SMPS Mods
I may take a scope to this supply and do a before and after on several more mods.

No. It certainly depends on the specific part selection for your Jung but several of mine were oscillating without the 10ohm resistor on Vsense.
Hi,

Mine work fine. Their only 'shortcoming' was that I didn't find the improvement very noticeable given the expense and work of putting them together.
