Jaman said:Does anybody now what 'Twin Dac' on a Marantz cd75MKII means?
I thought it ment that there were two TDA1541A Dac's onboard.
I just bought one and opened it up and could only find 1 TDA1541A.
What means Twin dac?
This is a picture from the front.

thank you
It means :-
Instead of using a single DAC chip for each channel, it uses a single Twin- DAC ( 2 DACs in one chip ) for both channels.
I was also confused when I saw this. It is sometimes used on EBAY to confuse bidders into thinking they are getting more than they are !
Andy
thank you very much, tjhis clears things up.
So it's only 1 Dac then, a stereo dac.
But is it then the exact same dac that is used in a "non-twin-dac" marantz/philips cd player.
I mean, are there stereo TDA1541A's and mono TDA1541A's?
I presume not.
Thanks again for info, I couldn't find anything on the web about tis.
