Hi,
I'm wondering if voltage conversion could easly be done on an ARC D-130. The conversion is from 110v to 220.
Thanks
Christopher

Hi Christopher,
This unit may have a single voltage winding. If so, a step down transformer should do it for you. Size it larger than the amplifier's requirements by 50% so it runs cooler. Take care to measure the 120V side to make sure the voltage is not too high.

Try faxing an inquiry to Audio Research. Many of those amps have a power transformer that can be used on either 240V or 120V by reconnecting the power transformer leads in a different configuration. If that is not possible on your unit, they may be able to sell you a replacement transformer for your voltage and this would be nicer and not neccessarily more expensive than an external transformer.
