PSU for non-os dac kit

I have had this psu since forever and I was wondering if it would be usable for a dac kit (doedes dac or the one from scott nixon, I 'm not sure yet)
It sais regulated power supply on the label and has a 12v 1,7A output
I've included some pictures

Hi,

the dacs you mentioned need a PSU of 12V DC. By looking at your picture, the PSU seems to be an older design using LM723 so I believe it should suit your needs just fine.

I thought it was old. 😀

I also have a picture of the DVD player that going to get rebuild ( it only cost 12 euros so it great for experimenting)

Has anyone ever rebuild the case of an existing cd/dvd player (except for nuuk of course😉 ?

close up of the transport: it's a transport of asatech
www.asatech.cc says their transport are used in sony, toshiba players
so it can't be all bad, can it?
