I'm planing to upgrade my alpine PXA-H800 opamps
I already upgrade my power supply caps too nichicon now i.want too change out the jrc 4580 opamps as there
General use and not for audio i seen lots of post some use the opa 1642 others use AD823A and the opa1662
And , were there any other modifications done for the opamps to work in place of the njm4580 or can i just use jrc 2608 any suggestions on a good audio opamp replacment for the H800 and what work well

Opamps with low noise and low distortion described in their datasheet as for use in "tone controls", how are they not for audio?
Doubt there's any pressing reason to do this.

Change of opamps in a H800 is possible, but you have to have the smd soldering skills to do. There is also a blue kit used for protection (?) over some of the components, which you have to remove first very carefully. PCB traces are easy to damage.
JRC2608 is just a little "better", I advice the OPA1612 or 1642, low power consuming opamps.

heh ive got a h800 in the post 🙂. Hoping the noise floor is lower than the h700?
Isn’t the main source of noise floor from the ADC and DAC in the dsp?
