Help: Taking Fostex 825 Tweeter apart

Hi

Im dissembling this beast of Fostex T825 slot tweeter and cant get the cone plug in the middle off 😕
If i remember right the Diaphragm was flat and the middle screwed...?
Shouldn’t be too different from JBL but miniature.
Tried to turn the plug counterclockwise. But it wont move.
Any recommendation?

I got inf resistance... wanted to check the leads.

Hi,
I have had success in similar cases with a thin-walled aluminium tube, think vacuum tube shield. It will grip very well without damaging anything.

Thanks, i didnt understand it well yet. How do you grab with a tube??

I tried with refrigerator, no success. Hoped the aluminum screw will shrink from the steel-plate. It should and probably did, but this thing still wont move a µ

Sorry if i was a bit unclear. Just push a tube with a diameter slightly smaller than the phase against it an twist. I used a shielding tube for a 7-pin preamp tube.
