HI-there i"m new to this forum - but have some strange problem with my new amp - just received it from USA couple of days - it have number of problems - most of them damaged tubes- which i have replaced ...
played it for an about 2 hours.....next day tryed turn it on - and had a blown fuse ....rechecked the tubes - one rectifier had some smoke on the glass near the base - replaced it - still have blown fuses -tryed turn on standby it with no tubes at all- blown fuse and see flash in the midle rectifier socket
opened it up -found slight burn on the (Bold/Spongy) switch-tryed it with Tester- shorting all legs in any positions?!
what it's might be?
please help!
Looks like that guy which sold it to me- kept it in very wet place some time-the amp is not so old- but shows signs of corrosion

I'm afraid something happened to power transformer 🙁
as i told (bold/spongy) switch is shorting in any positions -so the two black wires which he must connect in one or other position going straight to the power transformer

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
from left -switch between tube and diode rectification - it works(2grey wire)
next- tree legs switch (bold/spongy) is the one which shorting - left and right wire going to the power transformer middle to Standby->Fuse and power socket
the burned place on the PCB it's burned path between second and third tubes
i have tryed tube and diode modes- the fuse blows in two cases
How can i Fix ? any help? -to take out the diodes for check ? to fix the burned path with piece of wire?!

How was the amp shipped to Israel, and are you sure it is configured for 230V operation? Was it insured?
