OD3 150V tube regulator

Hi,

Do you know if the OD3 150V Tube reg. are prone to be noisy?

I built up a Foreplay III clone and getting hum. I never use the OD3 before.
I measure +150VDC at the output of the OD3 so it's working.

Non regulated DC heater with 10,000uF cap, +5.95VDC. Heater voltage is low but not the cause of the hum.

All gas regulators can be a bit noisy. Unlikely to cause hum.
One exception - if there is added capacitance across the regulator tube it can make a fine oscillator. Not saying this is the case, but one to watch out for.

As kevinkr has suggested, any circuit or info that you can provide would be helpful in diagnosis.
