hello

I have an nview spectra c panel with the inputs on the right hand side. I orderd a remote a few days ago and it arrived today, i then tried to hook my video to the panel through both the composite and Y/C connections but recived no picture 🙁

Just wondering if anyone knows the signs of a faulty panel? and if there is any test function on the panel?

thanks
andy

hey

ive tried setting my comp onto 640x480, changing the colours. Everything! 🙁

It displays the blue Nview spectra C logo. I plug into my pc hit reset, source 1, every button on the remote and still the panel remains on the nview blue logo :bawling:

if anyone has any ideas or anything else i can try please reply any help would be appreciated

😕

Putting your PC into 640x480 isn't always enough. Make sure that the refresh rate is 60Hz or the panel won't even know that the computer is connected. Other than that, nothing really comes to mind right now. Does the remote function with the panel okay? (i.e. does it actually make things brighter when you use the brightness + button?)

hey thanks for the replies.

ive taken the panel apart, even took the board out! And theres nothing i can see thats loose.

Ive tried lots of resolutions and i put my computer to 60hz refersh rate but still no picture! 🙁 and ive tried to restart my computer! I tried to put the optional monitor in to see if any sort of signal is going through the panel but there isnt since i didnt get a picture on my pc monitor.

The options on the remote like brightness dont see to do anything to the nview blue logo on the panel. However the top set of controls seem to work (lcd, text, rear, pix adj, reset and sources) the green lcd flashes.

sounds like a faulty panel 🙁

Does the cable that connects the panel to the pc have to be the offical Nview lead? Im using a monitor cable connected to a Mac to Vga convertor with a gender changer on.

thanks for all your help anyway 🙂

Oooh ... I'm gonna have to say that the gender changer is a big problem - you really need to have the correct cable. Even though the port that is on the panel will fit other plugs, it really requires a proprietary cable/adapter. You could probably make your own cable if someone else out there would publish the pinout for you.
