I have some 16v 47uf BG caps I would like to use as ps bypass caps in a 15v circuit. Is this safe to do? They are FK BGs, their highest grade. Thanks
Standard practice for reliability is to spec a elect at 2X the working voltage. 16V will work, but I'd still go for a higher voltage to be on the safe side.
It is a regulated supply for the output opamps in a DAC. I am concerned about voltage spikes. These are the de-coupling caps and I do not know enough about the circuit to know if spikes are possible. Thanks for any info.
Keeping in mind degradation of capacitor over the time, It wont be recommended. so at least go for 1.5x.
