Mercury vapour rectifier for George

You gotta be in awe of a rectifier capable of 69 kilowatts!

Lets see here, the main breaker at the power entrance to my house is 150 amps, 230 volts. Not enough power I guess. I have at least 20 833A tubes. Anyone care to wind some really big transformers?

Seriously, I got a big bunch of military surplus tubes a few years ago. There were dozens of monster MV rectifiers and thyratrons. I knew that I would not use them in my lifetime, so they were all sold off (real cheap too). I kept the tubes that I may use (like the 833A's) but I found new homes for all of the tubes that contained mercury. The storage fees to keep all of my "stuff" have grown far too expensive so I have been downsizing my collection.
