just wondering if anyone has used double layer caps for their PS's for any kind of amp.. ESR is kinda high however a bunch in parallel would lower it and also increase the voltage (most at only 5volt rated).. but look at this cap, they go up to 3500F!!

When you put capacitors in parallel the operating voltage remains the SAME 🙁

sorry i mean to say put several caps in series to increase the voltage, than a bank of those in parallel to increases the capacitance again

then again perhaps this isnt worthwhile since the highest double layer caps i can find are 5V each

I haven't been impressed by them in the past for filtering purposes. There was a recent discussion about new aerogel high capacitor capacitors--search on that.
