I have a thread going already about chosing a DIY tower speaker, but have a question I want to address by itself in this thread, namely, can you take the drivers and crossover from an existing enclosure (ported or sealed), and transfer them into a Transmission Line enclosure, and get good results? If so, how does one go about designing the TL enclosure? (The speaker I want to use driver and XO from is this one).

You can transfer them, as long as the TL is properly designed for the specific woofer.
