Hi, both of these sites offer kits and I am sure from reading through, that they are linked. However I was wondering which design would fare better?
Thanks
Thanks
Fusion,
BrianGT (Chipamp.com) and Peter Daniel (Audiosector.com) were the principle actors a few years back when the Gaincard circuit was deconstructed by the members of the diyAudio forum. Brian and Peter collaborated to produce the first and second versions of the LM3875 Gainclone kits, and also the LM3886 and LM4780 kits. Thus the two sites are connected in this way.
Currently Chipamp.com sells a LM3886 kit with snubberized power supply board and Audiosector.com sells a LM3875 and LM4780 kit, so the offerings are not quite the same.
Which version is better for you is a matter of lengthy discussion, system configuration, and personal preference, so you should start doing your reading here on the forum!
Best,
KT
