Skynet 8080 5v as tube heater?

Wasn't sure which forum this belongs in but if I didn't have a Charlize I wouldn't be ordering a Skynet 8080 smps and wondering if there was anything useful I could do with the 1 amp that needs to be drawn from the 5v line. Seems a waste just to heat up a resistor with it.

As using a tube pre with Charlize gets good reports I've added it to the 'maybe later' list. Maybe the grounded grid design on Yeos site. So...

1) how many tube heaters does it take to draw 1 amp @ 5v? Thinking of having 'dummy' tubes glowing just for effect, lol.

2) In a pre-amp, any noticeable loss of quality using 5v dc for the heaters as opposed to the normal 6,3v ac?

Thanks.
