Car Audio, that is something for you, SkinnyBoy

SkinnyBoy,
Surely you will go into Car Audio now.
You have already began with JayCar!

Build yourself a car amplifier
that can run on 12 or 24 VDC.
Then you only have to buy a car as one nice fitting
for your car amp. ;)

What car will it be?
A Jaguar or A Ferrari ....

I have had two old Volvos, those days I were a rich man.
Now I have to use my bike.
The Times They Are A'Changin - young men get old and poor

/halojoy - will try to get a Volvo P1800
to use as an Enclosure for his next CAR AMP.

Well I'm glad im not the only one here with interest in mobile music.

I dont have a ridiulously gargantuan system in my car. It would be nice to show off.. but its not about looks for me its all performance. Although I do try to make it look as good as possible.

I have a Simple Clarion CD player and a Kicker amp running some JL Audio 6x9's right now. I ordered an Elemental Designs e15k and am waiting for it to ship. If your not familiar with the company the web address is www.edesignaudio.com. They are new to the business and the owner just turned 20 years old.. but very very good products. I hope to get some Focal 165k front componet speakers soon in kick panels.

As far as home audio goes, I dont have anything worth mentioning. My friend just bought some etons thogh, and Im currently constructing enclosures for them.

Building the enclosures is my strong piont since my occupation is a carpenter. I have a wonderful workshop to use and I love what I do.

I see that your all kind of weird, but no matter, I'm not even close to normal myself.

Thank you for being so welcoming and happy new year!

Your Homepage - With Pictures

onebadziggy
I had a look at your homepage.

 Buick LeSabre pictures

You own a Red 1991 Buick LeSabre.
A Beautiful Car!
And you have built the sound system in it.
Used some 15" Woofers.

A lot of pictures.
:D Some funny; Your friend in the Sub Box! :D

You are welcome - you certainly have built one or two loudspeakers.
So some experiences you will have to share with us.
And some more you will learn.

/halojoy - wants to have his own car

Im a man of many tastes, really. Unless its normal to listen to Slipknot for a while then change to Jimi Hendrix. But, a short list of my favorites would include
System of a Down
Korn
Slipknot
Soulfly
Black Sabbath/Ozzy
Pink Floyd
Hendrix
Led Zepplin
Godhead
Sublime
Skrape
The Union Underground
Spineshank
Bob Marley
Mudvayne
Static-X
Unloco
Coal Chamber
Ultraspank

I could go on but its getting ridiculous...

D'oh!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ziggy,

I hope god will forgive me I forgot to mention Sublime. ;) They have been my faves for some time. Great music (and big bass :D )! What a shame that Bradley died back then........... :bawling:

Just imagine how many great songs they could've written in the past 6 years!! Do you like the Long Beach Dub Allstars?

I dont really care for the Allstars because they are trying to be too much the same as they were before Brad died. This could never happen of course, and I like the original better anyway. Its like a sequel to a film- The original is almost always better. I might be expecting to much but thats just me.

Who knows where they would have been had he lived.. I would be much happier I know that!:D

How is car audio in Germany? Is it as big a industry as in the U.S.? At my highschool its the cool thing to have a subwoofer in your car right now. I'm dissapointed in most peoples systems becsaue hey lack sound quality, and that is my main concern I would imagine that there would be equal enthusiasm in your country, but who knows?
