Kenwood KW-40
I am also looking for information, specifically a schematic, of this unit. The one I have is actually a Trio W-40 but I believe it is the same. It has a problem of overheating a resistor in the power supply.
If I come across anything, I'll send you a note and I would appreciate the same from you.

Hi,
Not much of help I know but for what it is worth:
These companies are one and the same.
Increase the wattage of those Rs in the PSU and it will last for
ever.
Cheers,

Hi,
Well...I tried that but to no avail.
Also I looked through Sams' Photofacts library,no hits either.
It's just a wild guess but the following could happen due ageing:
1.A cap in the PSU may have dried up overloading that resistor.
2.The resistor itself has changed its' value.
Cheers,
