I've found a NAD 3080, i do know that it is from 1977 and that it is the first amplifier wich delievers full effect at 2 ohm.
The topcover is damaged(wood), but i could easily renew that.
My question is if it's worth spending time on a "shine up" or should i take out what i can use from it and throw the rest out ?
Does anyone got schematic on this ?

Hi Rowsing,

Here you go:

I think I was one of the first to by the NAD 3080 here in Denmark way back in the 70's, sereial no. 00002xx something and I still got it ;)

I just love this amp (in good and bad)
Just change the caps and perhaps the opamp in the preamp section, but then you got a very dynamic and powerfull amp.

Thank you Jan, i got a little confused when i looked at the back of it, there is a warning sign that says no less than 8 ohm loudspeakers, otherwise it will cause damage to the amplifier, but i read somewhere that it is able to deliever full effect at 2 ohm.
Am i mixing something together here ?
Well i will try to power it up today and see if it's working.
Could be fun to give it a facelift , just because it was one of NADs
"Break through" amplifiers - and if it sounds good too that woulld be a bonus.
