Hi, I just wondered a thing and I thought that I'd ask you guys for an answer.
If a pair of Toroid transformers mounted on top of each other bolted to the bottom of a chassi are vibrating and thus creating quite a loud hum, can this sound be noticed through sensitive speakers?

The reason that i ask is that I have that problem (surprise). At start there was just a not so loud humming but after some hours of playing my amp started to produce a more noticable sound similar to that of the toroids vibrating. Its not volumedependent btw and its present on all channels.

the setup btw is a 4-channel lm3875 GC with dual Carlosfm unregulated PSU and a 10K-log pot.
Grounding:
Starground with one wire from each PSU and one from each pair of channels (channelground ). in other words, the channelground of the two left channels are soldered together and led to the strgnd.
Inputs and pot wired to strgnd an thus inputground on boards are not used.
All groundwires are 1,5mm EKK and all about 10cm in lenght

(2,54cm=1")
