Hello, I did try to search the web with no avail. I was given a box with semiconductors and I found among them few parts made by TESLA. Markings say: "TESLA" and underneath code: KT2061400 and KT2061200.
They have three outputs and can be mounted on the heatsink. Does anyone know what are they?
Thanks

Hello DoomPixie,
Thanks for the response. I have no digital camera available. I will try to borrow it. The package looks like TO220. Markings are printed with silver ink. Since parts look old markings are hard to read. On some I can see letters UN above TESLA name. One part has letters UW underneath the code. Output pins are not flat but round.

Hi,
these devices are probably silicon controlled rectifiers.
KT206 / 200 with 200 Volts
KT206 / 400 with 400 Volts.
The letter code is a date code of 1980- 89, i guess.
Further search in eastern europe forums may be helpful.

First hit of German google is a polish forum and they don´t even know, wether it´s a Triac or a thyristor.

Strangely enough they are thyristors used in the "business" of a Jawa moped electronic ignition box.
How they are used can be seen in this simple circuit here:

I am not saying they can't be used otherwise, having stumbled upon this forum searching "Tesla KT206/400", searching to verify what I need to repair my ignition box.
