Hello,

is there anybody using a RE-201 audio analyzer?

The internal TIM-generator is fine and supplies the TIM signal without any problems. The datasheet of the RE201 promise a distortion of 0,02% for the TIM generator itself.
The Tim-signal is shown absolute "clear" on a spectrum analyzer down to -80 dB....no really visible TIM components to see.

The "Problem" is the TIM analyzer. Specifications of the analyzer tell me a sensitivity of only 0,2% (-55 dB)
When i connect the generator directly to the analyzer, a value of 0,14 % TIM will be displayed.
But this value doesn´t match the display on the FFT Analyzer.
i ask myself if this is ok??

Anyway....a (weak) sensitivity of 0,2% is far away from practice, and the same RE 201 can measure THD down to 0,0004%
