I`m about to fix a speaker for a colleague at work.
It`s an old mission speaker.
The inductor for the bass element was broken.
The inductor is kind of special because its winded with very thin wire, so the dc resistance is about 5 ohm. My supllier measured it and sendt me an normal ironcore inductor and some resistors to place in series, 2 10 ohm in paralell.
First I thought theese resistors has to be placed in series before the inductor, or else they would change the impedance after the inductor and because of that also the crossover point. But now I am unsure.
So do theese resistor go in series before or after the inductor? Or does it matter?
